Matthew Andrews is a distinguished member of technical staff in the Mathematics of Networks and Communications Research department at Bell Labs in Murray Hill, NJ. He received his B.A., First Class Honours, in mathematics from Oxford University in 1993 and his Ph.D. in theoretical computer science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1997. His research interests include network economics and pricing, network resource allocation, packet scheduling and approximation algorithms. He holds a range of patents in the area of telecommunications.
