I am interested in practical algorithms with a geometric flavor, but much of my recent work relates to modeling wireless systems. I have also worked on raster graphics, font generation, document image analysis and (more recently) on automatic differentiation. My work often touches on other fields including numerical analysis and data compression.

I am the original author (but not the current maintainer) of a graphics language called MetaPost. MetaPost is based on Knuth's METAFONT, but is intended for figures in technical documents.
