I am with the Computer Systems Research Department at Bell Laboratories and am currently pursuing topics of interest related to endpoint and network device virtualization. My general interests are in software, protocols and systems aspects relating to networking and mobile devices.

I joined Bell Labs after receiving a Ph.D. in Computer Science from North Carolina State University, Raleigh, in 1996. Prior to that, I received an M.S. in Computer Science from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, IL, in 1991 and a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science and Engg. from Osmania University, India in 1989. After joining Bell Labs as a Member of Technical Staff, I have actively participated in various roles, including as a Distinguished Member of Technical Staff and as a Technical Manager, in development, productization and commercialization of several research ideas. Between 2005 and 2007, I was a founding member and the Head of Product Development for an internal Alcatel-Lucent Venture/Startup (Project Evros/OmniAccess 3500 Nonstop Laptop Guardian).
