Sining Chen is a Member of Technical Staff in the Statistics and Learning Research Department of Bell Labs in Murray Hill, NJ, since July 2011. She received a BS in Applied Mathematics from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China in 1997 and a PhD in Statistics from Duke University, Durham, NC, in 2002.
Dr. Chen worked at Johns Hopkins University from 2002 to 2008, first as a postdoctoral fellow in the School of Medicine and then as an Assistant Professor in the School of Public Health. Prior to joining Bell Labs, she was an Associate Professor at the Department of Biostatistics, University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.
Her current research interests include Bayesian methods and forecasting.
